At MOXI we like to throw parties. And with our new, more fluid online format we think it’s about time for us to share the detes from our events more regularly.
Our most recent festivity celebrated MOXI artist Kat Saul and the release of her debut music video for her single “Jericho.”
In a digital age, it’s a core belief at MOXI that cultivating face-to-face community among an artist’s fans and supporters while also engaging them in the artist’s life and personal story is paramount to building a successful and fruitful career.
With this attitude in mind, Kat invited friends and family to help her ring in her 21st birthday while also celebrating the music video release, hosting the event at Nashville’s Trimble House, the same location where the video was shot.
Trimble House, a new multi-purpose space in Nashville dedicated to creativity, served as the perfect backdrop for both the video and the party and offered a third dimension to Kat’s visual content naturally creating an interactive experience for viewers and attendees.
Trimble House is owned by Arthouse Entertainment’s Kara DioGuardi and is run with the help of Kristina Russo who handles operations. The space is available to rent on AVVAY for writing camps, events, and video/photo shoots.
“Trimble House is a space that encourages creativity and think tanking,” says Kara. “We want to inspire creatives of all mediums to collaborate and think outside the box in order to achieve their goals. We feel the venue lends itself to that.”
In the same spirit of collaboration, local designer (& regular MOXI creative partner) Andrew Gallivan dressed Kat for the night in a custom AG gown while “Jericho” music video director Logen Christopher photographed the ensemble.
Kat also performed an acoustic set including a cover of Julia Michaels’ “Jump,” and a new original “Another Man” - both performances can be viewed on her IG TV.
Local videographer Nick Swift captured the night with the following video recap.
The night of course ended with a birthday cake … and a plethora of MOXI x AG x Kat Saul polaroids (surprised? doubtful.)
Until next time. Cheers … and keep an eye out for new music from Kat coming next month.
